Starting from March 2027, the closing time of the post-closing trading session for derivatives on the Hong Kong Exchange will be extended from the current 3:00 a.m. to 4:15 a.m. The Exchange will consider whether to further extend the closing time to 5:15 a.m. in November 2027, based on market developments following the initial extension. Under the new arrangement, the closing time of the post-closing trading session will be extended from 3:00 a.m. to 4:15 a.m., allowing market participants to flexibly manage risk in response to overseas market conditions outside of Hong Kong’s daytime trading hours.
