On April 24, Bitmine, an Ethereum reserve company founded by Tom Lee, added approximately $320 million worth of ETH staking in the past 24 hours, bringing the proportion of its total holdings participating in staking for rewards to over 70%. On-chain data shows that around 75,600 ETH were transferred to Coinbase Prime for staking early Thursday morning, following a configuration of about 61,200 ETH on Wednesday, marking the first large-scale operation in nearly three weeks. According to blockchain analytics platform Lookonchain, Bitmine has cumulatively staked approximately 3.5 million ETH, valued at around $8.1 billion, accounting for about 70.1% of its total holdings. Additionally, reports suggest that three new wallets suspected to be associated with the company received approximately 100,000 ETH (worth about $234 million) before Thursday. If confirmed, its total holdings would increase to approximately 5.08 million ETH. By comparison, SharpLink, the second-largest holder in the industry, currently holds only about 869,000 ETH, with Bitmine's scale exceeding it by more than 580%. The company now controls over 4.1% of Ethereum’s total supply and is approaching its target level of 5%.
