Overview of Key Schedules for the New Week
U.S. May PCE Price Index and Q1 Real GDP Data
On Thursday, June 25, the U.S. will release the May PCE price index. Markets expect the core PCE to rise by 0.3% month-over-month and increase year-over-year from 3.3% to 3.4%. If the PCE data comes in hotter than expected, it would reinforce the hawkish signals sent since the Federal Reserve’s June monetary policy meeting.
On the same day, the U.S. will release the final reading of Q1 2026 GDP. The market expects the final figure to remain at an annualized quarter-over-quarter rate of 1.6%, with the year-over-year growth rate rising to 3.4%. The market anticipates that equipment spending surged significantly in the first quarter, driven by AI-related infrastructure investments, while consumer spending growth is expected to have slowed.
NVIDIA will hold its annual shareholder meeting
$NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ The 2026 Annual Shareholder Meeting will be held online at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time on June 24 (00:00 Beijing Time on June 25). Micron Technology will report earnings after U.S. market close on Wednesday
$Micron Technology (MU.US)$ It will report its latest earnings and guidance after U.S. market close on Wednesday. Given that Micron’s stock price has increased ninefold over the past year, merely meeting expectations may not guarantee positive post-earnings stock performance.

Chip manufacturer $Marvell Technology (MRVL.US)$ and electronics manufacturer $Flex Ltd (FLEX.US)$ is set to join the S&P 500 Index. OpenAI’s most advanced AI model series, GPT-5.6, is expected to debut next week.
Tech media outlet TestingCatalog recently published an article stating that OpenAI is expected to launch its GPT-5.6 series of models next week, including Mini, Standard, and Pro versions. In terms of performance, GPT-5.6’s context window has been expanded from 1 million to 1.5 million tokens, with enhanced long-context coding capabilities and improved Codex response speed. According to reports, in agent-based coding tasks, GPT-5.6 has already surpassed Anthropic’s Mythos series and is now regarded by developers as the new benchmark. On pricing, sources indicate that OpenAI’s current token prices are roughly half those of Anthropic’s, and OpenAI plans to directly initiate a price war—further reducing prices while simultaneously enhancing model performance.
