July 27 – Hong Kong-listed PCB-related stocks rose in the afternoon session. As of the time of reporting, Xinji Microfab gained 15%, Kingboard Laminates rose more than 8%, Dingtech High-tech climbed nearly 8%, Shenghong Technology advanced close to 6%, and Kingboard Chemical rose 3%.

According to CCTV Finance, driven by surging AI computing demand, high-end printed circuit boards (PCBs) are in short supply, pushing prices steadily higher, with leading manufacturers’ orders already booked through 2027. A senior executive at a motherboard manufacturer noted that PCB price increases began with high-speed PCBs, which are primarily used in high-performance computing server motherboards, and that prices for high-speed PCBs have risen more than three to four times over. CICC Research stated in a report that with growing demand for orthogonal backplanes and advancements in CoWoS packaging technology, PCBs will increasingly resemble semiconductors, resulting in a steady rise in their value content.

In addition, several listed companies in the PCB and copper-clad laminate sectors have recently released their interim earnings forecasts. Dongshan Precision, Shengyi Electronics, Wus Printed Circuit, Shennan Circuits, and Shengyi Technology all expect strong year-on-year growth in their first-half earnings. China Galaxy Securities believes that as AI development continues, demand for high-layer-count PCBs and HDI boards will remain robust, enabling related companies across the supply chain to benefit sustainably.
