On the news front, on the evening of July 27, according to an official post on Yue zhi Anmian’s Weibo account, the company officially open-sourced the Kimi K3 model. The company released the model weights and technical report for Kimi K3 and open-sourced key infrastructure technologies underpinning the model’s training: MoonEP, FlashKDA, and AgentEnv. Yue zhi Anmian stated that anyone can now download and deploy the Kimi K3 model freely, whether for internal R&D or integration into end-user-facing products.

Guosheng Securities noted that the significant leap in open-source model capabilities will raise the industry-wide baseline performance level, and it remains optimistic about accelerated downstream application adoption and token consumption in the second half of the year. As open-source models rapidly approach the state-of-the-art performance of closed-source models, the minimum capability threshold accessible across the industry has been substantially elevated, enabling downstream application developers to leverage near-frontier capabilities at lower costs. The firm believes the primary beneficiaries will be application/agent chains with genuine use cases, data moats, and strong engineering capabilities.
