According to the Hangzhou Daily, the 2026 Yunqi Conference will be held in Hangzhou from September 22 to 24. The three-day event is themed "Intelligence for Practical Application," systematically showcasing the full journey of AI—from breakthroughs in foundational technologies to the realization of industrial value. It will feature three plenary forums, more than 140 parallel sessions, and collaborate with over 1,000 enterprises to create an exhibition space exceeding 50,000 square meters.
The Yunqi Main Forum will outline Alibaba's strategy and perspectives for the AI era, as well as its latest achievements; the Technology Main Forum will dissect the five-layer full-stack technology—covering models, Agents, and Agentic Cloud—while unveiling Alibaba Cloud's core technologies and annual products; and the "For Value Beyond Calculation" Main Forum will explore the social value of AI and its integration with the humanities.
More than 140 parallel forums were held across three major themes—"Exploring the Frontiers of Intelligence," "Reimagining the Computing Foundation," and "Catalyzing New Opportunities Across Industries"—covering topics such as cutting-edge models, inference services, agentic coding, agentic applications, chips and computing power, cloud infrastructure, industrial digital and intelligent transformation, globalization, AI governance, and humanistic values.
According to reports, the conference will feature an exhibition space of over 50,000 square meters at the Hangzhou International Expo Center, comprising four thematic pavilions—"Intelligent Engine Pavilion," "Computing Power Cornerstone Pavilion," "Super Creation Pavilion," and "Industry Co‑Creation Pavilion"—to showcase end-to-end capabilities spanning from computing power to applications, as well as real-world industry implementations.
The conference spans two venues—the Hangzhou International Expo Center and the Yunqi Town International Convention and Exhibition Center—with the latter focusing on space‑based computing power and physical AI.
In addition, this year's conference has pioneered an Agent‑Native participation model: each attendee can bring their own agent into the event. The agent will be assigned a unique digital identity and will be able to access real-time agenda and exhibit information, as well as receive intelligent recommendations tailored to its preferences. Furthermore, dedicated initiatives such as the Agent Arena will be introduced, enabling agents to actively engage in interactive experiences and further explore new ways for humans and agents to co‑participate in cutting‑edge technological events.
