Early Thursday in U.S. stock trading,$SpaceX (SPCX.US)$ The stock rose more than 3% against the market trend during trading hours, closing at $152.18.

On September 10, Reuters reported that SpaceX had secured approximately $40 million from the UK government to provide satellite services, deepening the country’s reliance on military communication services offered by Elon Musk’s companies. The UK thus became the first nation outside the United States to publicly confirm its adoption of Starshield, a service designed by SpaceX for military and intelligence missions, whereas Starlink primarily targets consumer and commercial customers.

Documents show that the UK Ministry of Defence has procured approximately 1,000 Starshield terminals and 500 Starlink terminals, with total costs amounting to around £29.5 million (equivalent to $39.9 million). SpaceX has not yet responded to media requests for comment.
Furthermore, according to the arrangements disclosed in the prospectus, SpaceX will see the expiration of a lock-up period around 90 days post-IPO on or around September 9. Up to approximately 319 million Class A ordinary shares will become eligible for sale, representing about 7% of the shares subject to the 180-day lock-up.
On September 9, up to 319 million shares will be released from lock-up. On September 10, an additional maximum of 59.1 million shares held by related parties will become tradable, followed by up to 328.4 million shares on September 24.
