Democrats met at the office of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on September 14, with some still expressing dissatisfaction with the cryptocurrency ethics provisions in the latest bill text. Senator Mark Warner told Politico as he left the meeting that Democrats who have been sincerely engaged in this effort are submitting a counterproposal. The proposal was introduced ahead of a key procedural vote in the Senate on September 15, which will determine whether the chamber can advance the bill for full-floor consideration.
